The Legend Course
Holes: 18
Par: Men’s 71   Women’s 71
Type: Regulation

The 18-hole championship Legends Course is an extremely popular favorite among Palm Springs golfers since its competition in the late 1950’s. Originally designed by Billy Bell, the course was rebuilt in 1995 by architect Ted Robinson. The upgraded included the addition of 40 sand bunkers to the original 11. Measured from the back Green Tees, this is par 72, 6,815 yard course, traditional layout course.

Legends is basically a flat course with a few rolling hills with trees lining the fairways. Greens are well maintained, primarily flat with minor breaks. Water is a factor on only one hole, number thirteen, named the “Road Hole” (aptly name as it is adjacent to a road), a 504 yard par 5. The number one handicap is hole 8, “Let it Rip” a 446 par 4 with two sand traps on the front left and right guarding the green complex.

The Resort Course
Holes: 18
Par: Men’s 72   Women’s 72
Type: Regulation

The Resort course at Tahquitz Creek Resort Course opened in 1995 and was designed by Ted Robinson. This desert links style course was designed to challenge to players of all abilities. In the design, Mr. Robinson combined the desert settings natural features with spectacular water features on 9 holes. Hole 7 “The Terminator”, a Par 4 at 384 yards is the Resort Course’s number 1 handicap and for good reason. Driving off the tee requires excellent placement on a fairway island. Guarding the far right corner of the Island are two sand bunkers. Another unique watering hole is number 17 “Water Park”, a 130 yard par 3, the number 3 handicap, requiring a tee shot over water to the green.

From the back Green tees, the course measures 6,705 yards and is a par 72 for the both men and women.  68 sand traps are strategically placed throughout the course. Number 18 requires special attention as 9 bunkers line the fairways and green complex. The course is maintained to an extremely high standard with fairways and greens in immaculate condition.
