King’s Highway Sparkles under the Stars

King’s Highway at Ace Hotel & Swim Club has always been a hip-casual spot, and even with the indoor dining restrictions, that’s not changed. In fact, it’s even better. You can now relax by the pool, sip a classic cocktail, and admire your mid-century surroundings under the stars.

King’s Highway at Ace Hotel in Palm Springs

Palm Springs is known for a relaxed retro vibe with incredible weather and mountain views that makes alfresco dining such a natural fit. And now King’s Highway has created an incredible outdoor patio dining experience poolside that will make any local or visitor smile. Imagine sipping your cocktail poolside as the sun slowly sets and the sound of relaxing music coming from locally curated entertainers. You know you’ve arrived in Palm Springs.

The new elevated dinner menu is elegant, yet stops short of fussy. To begin, try to Field Peas Hummus with black garlic, good olive oil, celery leaf, and fried chickpeas. So fresh with crisp pita bread. The salads are entrée size and easy to share as a course before your entrée.

After cocktails, appetizer nibbles, a fresh salad, good conversation, and the clink of glasses over a toast, it’s time for the main course.  For something more casual, try the Twin Palms Burger with two beef patties, white cheddar, secret sauce, caramelized onions, and house pickles. Another favorite and popular choice is the Fried Chicken Sandwich served with cabbage slaw, house pickles and onion on a parker house bun. Love that crunch! For a more elevated dish try the Redtop Farm Pork Chop with buttermilk mash, pearl onions, apple, and red onion reduction. The savory Short Rib is also an excellent choice with anson mill grits, garlic, baby spinach, and red wine demi-glace.

Executive Chef Ysaac Ramirez comes to us from Ace Hotel New Orleans who was part of the hotel’s opening team in spring 2016. A year later, Ysaac was named the hotel’s Executive Chef of its award-winning restaurant Josephine Estelle as well as the rooftop pool and grill, Alto. Ysaac’s passion for food stems from his interest and knowledge of Southern and Latin cuisines and he brings an eclectic mix of both these flavors profiles to King’s Highway.
