Back Story

Daniel Algazi, the proprietor of DA Computers and Rated Comics, has been in business in the desert since 1999. Rated Comics is his recent venture, initiated approximately three years ago, with the store front welcoming patrons for over a year. The inspiration behind launching a comic book company was his longstanding passion for comic books and trading cards. Motivated by this enthusiasm, he decided to open a store that stands out from the rest. At Rated Comics, they specialize in collector editions, uniquely positioned in the market.

Standing Out

Setting them apart, Daniel successfully negotiated contracts between publishers and artists to produce exclusive limited edition comics, specifically designed for conventions and available in-store. This distinctive approach has garnered attention at major events such as San Diego Comic Con, Los Angeles Comic Con, and more recently, the Las Vegas Magic-Con in September 2023, which hosted the World Tournament of Magic the Gathering.

Tourneys

In addition to their commitment to exclusivity, they’ve introduced local Magic the Gathering Tournaments. Open to everyone, these tournaments are particularly appealing to those without a card collection, as cards are provided for sealed tournaments. Structured to ensure an engaging experience, 50% of all participants receive prizes, making it a delightful opportunity for both newcomers and seasoned players to engage in friendly competition and revel in the enjoyment of the game.

You will find this unique store located behind Walmart in Palm Springs. It is open every day for your comic book fix. The hours of operation are 10 am to 6 pm.
