Drag Now, Drag Forever

“Drag Now, Drag Forever” is this year’s theme. Greater Palm Springs Pride is celebrating its 37th Anniversary. This is a multi-day pride festival. Admission is free. The festival is November 3-5. The famous Pride Parade is on November 5.

Sip, Sachet, and Celebrate in the Pride Event Zone. Palm Canyon Drive is home to the friendly Pride Festival unique to Southern California. Enjoy beverages and food with friends while you explore a diverse array of artists, entertainers, beverage stations, and purveyors of various items, including jewelry, snacks, and sweets. Add all that to great shopping restaurants, clubs, and entertainment venues. The result is like no place else – Palm Springs Pride.

Nov. 3 – Arenas District Pride Weekend Kickoff. 5 pm

Produced by Palm Canyon Theatre and hosted by Palm Springs’ beloved drag diva, Bella da Ball, the spectacular event is the official kickoff to Greater Palm Springs Pride 2023 “Drag Now. Drag Forever!” The lavish production will bring the glamour of Broadway to Palm Canyon Drive as revelers delight in the talented lineup of contestants vying for this year’s title! 7 – 9:30 pm  Free. Nov. 4, Idina Menzel Headlines. 8 pm

Multi-platinum-selling singer/songwriter and Tony Award-winning performer, Idina Menzel, will headline the 37th annual Palm Springs Pride Festival on Saturday, November 4, Hornitos Stage at 8 pm. The headliner announcement, from the Palm Springs Pride organizers, was made days after Menzel released her highly anticipated dance project Drama Queen which showcases her powerhouse vocals through soaring anthems and disco-infused beats.

A skillful songwriter, Menzel’s prolific recording career includes multiple cast albums and solo albums: Still, I Can’t Be Still, Here, I Stand, and Idina, which landed in the Top 30 on Billboard’s Top 200 charts upon its release in 2016.

Menzel said about the the Drama Queen project: “I am a Drama Queen…I’m dramatic and emotional and passionate. I love the stage and the spotlight. I love the attention and the roar of an audience. I have big feelings. I sing my ass off through tears of joy, heartbreak, anger, and sadness. This project is the most fun I’ve ever had writing and recording an album. I want everyone to move and sing with me and embrace their inner Drama Queen.”

Nov. 4, Lisa Lisa Headlines. 7 pm

One of the greatest Latin Hip Hop/Freestyle/Pop Divas to come out of the 1980s music scene Lisa Lisa of the 80’s supergroup Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam brings her legendary freestyle music to Palm Springs Pride.

Lisa Lisa’s break-out hits such as “I Wonder If I Take You Home,” “Can You Feel The Beat,” and “All Cried Out” helped to launch the underground genre of Freestyle Music into the mainstream. She was the first Puerto Rican / Latino artist to cross over to the Pop and R&B charts. Lisa Lisa will perform at 7 pm on Saturday, November 4, on the Hornitos Stage located on Palm Canyon Dr and Amado.

Nov. 5, Kylie Sonique Love. 1:50 pm 

Kylie Sonique, Love, RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 6 Winner and the first transgender person to ever come out on any reality TV show, and the first trans person to win RuPaul’s Drag Race in America, is coming to Palm Springs Pride. Kylie will be on the biggest stage in the biggest venue, on the Hornitos Stage.

Nov. 5, 10,000 Maniacs Headline. 3 pm

10,000 Maniacs, known for their timeless hits such as “These Are Days” and “Because the Night,” are one of America’s most beloved independent bands. They have been cult heroes, mainstream stars, and alt-rock trailblazers. Through it all, the creative core of the band remains, along with its trademarks of eclectic music and poetic lyrics. 10,000 Maniacs perform on Sunday, November 5, on the Hornitos Stage at 3 pm.

In 2023, the band welcomed two new friends into the lineup, two faces fresh yet familiar. Lead singer Leigh Nash and guitarist Matt Slocum are founding members of Sixpence None the Richer, the Texas-bred band well known for its cover of the La’s “There She Goes” and its original smash hit, “Kiss Me.” The two bands have a longstanding friendship, with Sixpence opening for the Maniacs early in their career and Leigh later joining them onstage in Nashville.

Sunday, November 5. Kicks off at 10 am.

The colorful parade steps off in the Uptown Design District at Tachevah and Palm Canyon Dr. and travels south through downtown ending at the entrance to the Pride Festival at Amado.

The Deaf Pride reviewing stand is north of E Amado Road at N Palm Canyon Drive and features sign language Interpretation. Seating is available for the Deaf community on a first-come-first-served basis.

Nov. 2 – Palm Springs Latin Pride Fiesta

Join Host ChiChi Fuera for an electrifying celebration of cultural pride at the inaugural Palm Springs Latin Pride Fiesta. Highlights include a lineup of talented artists performing and spinning a mix of Latin hits and features Giselle Woo and the Night Owls. The outdoor dance floor on Arena Road will come alive with the rhythms to make your heart race and your feet move. 5 – 10 pm. Arenas District. Free

5 PM – DJ Ben: Resident DJ forthe hottest Latin promoters in LA and San Diego. 

6 PM – Mareeka’sReventón Latino Drag Revue: MAREEKA hosts the hottest Latin Drag Revue with stunning performers Mayday, Violetta, and Athena Kills. 

7 PM – Gisselle Woo & The Night Owls: A favorite from CoachellaChicano desert rock makes its way to the Arenas district. 

8 PM – DJ Tatiana: Direct from her residency at the largest monthly women’s party in the USA, DJ Tatiana will keep the Fiesta ¡Orgullo! vibes going with moombahton, Latin, and top 40 remixes.

Nov. 3, MEET – Palm Springs Art Museum – Get ready for pure pride! Immerse yourself in the beats of the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s, courtesy of KGAY’s sensational DJ Eric Ornelas. Enjoy a mesmerizing performance by Nickerson-Rossi Dance that will leave you in awe. Sip on delightful concoctions from the hosted bar and indulge in delectable hearty bites by Reforma Palm Springs. Don’t miss out on this extraordinary evening that promises to be a celebration of music, dance, art, and community pride!

Museum members can snag their tickets for just $50.00, while non-members can revel in the ultimate experience for $100, which includes an Individual membership to keep the pride going all year long.
