March 22nd, 7pm – HOW TO MARRY A MILLIONAIRE (1953)
Downtown Park (Free Screening! Time is approximate: film starts at sundown)
Join us for an unforgettable evening under the stars as we screen the timeless classic, How to Marry a Millionaire, in the beautiful Downtown Park. This 1953 romantic comedy stars Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable, and Lauren Bacall, and follows three beautiful women who rent a luxurious apartment in New York City in the hopes of finding and marrying wealthy men. Monroe’s performance as Pola Debevoise, a lovable but naive model, is a scene-stealer in the film and helped cement her status as a Hollywood icon. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic baskets and settle in for a night of laughter, romance, and Hollywood glamour, mere feet away from the iconic Forever Marilyn statue. This is one movie experience you won’t want to miss- so come early to grab your spot before the feature presentation starts at sundown.
