HAVE YOU EVER FELT DIFFERENT?
ISOLATED?
DOING WHAT YOU CAN TO FIT IN?
(Even if it meant denying a part of who you are)

Get ready for this moving, bilingual drama about bullying, family and Hispanic heritage.

Green Room Theatre Company (GRTC) is proud to present ‘Maggie Magalita’ by Wendy Kesselman, (Tony nominee for The Diary of Anne Frank).

Directed by GRTC Artistic Director David Catanzarite, this Coachella Valley touring production features Maggie, a teenager who upon immigrating to America, faced severe bullying in elementary school because she could only speak Spanish. Now, as a high school student who has found academic and social success, she struggles to reconcile her immigrant and poverty background, when her Spanish speaking abuela comes to live with Maggie and her working mother Elena in their tiny apartment. Maggie must now find the balance between her re-awakened Latina roots and the life she has created in America.
