With a rich history dating back to the mid-20th century, this iconic establishment has become a beloved destination for locals and tourists alike.

A Slice of History

Established in 1958, Tonga Hut holds the distinction of being the oldest, continually operating tiki bar in North Hollywood by brothers Ace and Ed Libby. It was founded during the height of the tiki culture, a trend that swept across America after World War II, embracing Polynesian aesthetics, tropical cocktails, and vibrant décor.

Over the years, Tonga Hut has seen numerous transformations. Still, it has retained its original essence, preserving the unique ambiance that transports guests back to a bygone era of palm-fringed beaches and exotic islands. And now you can experience Tonga Hut in Palm Springs!
