Vietnamese-American cuisine is a fusion of traditional Vietnamese dishes with American flavors and ingredients. It emerged as Vietnamese immigrants settled in the U.S. and adapted their recipes to local tastes. Vietnamese-American food is known for its vibrant flavors, fresh ingredients, and diverse influences.
The menu at Roster and the Pig includes a variety of dishes that showcase both Vietnamese and American culinary traditions.
To Start: Enjoy selections like Vietnamese crispy rolls, calamari with siracha mayo dipping sauce, fish sauce wings, spicy chili long beans, or caramelized port riblet.
Fresh Rolls: These fresh and healthy rolls are typically made with rice paper wrappers filled with rice noodles, lettuce, herbs, and a protein such as shrimp, pork, or beef. The shrimp roll includes mango, mint, cilantro, and mizuna. The citrus-cured beef roll includes carrots, pickled red onion, crispy shallot, and Fresno pepper.
Best to Share: Lots of options for a sharable table, including rice bowls, sautéed eggplant, lemongrass pork skewers, and panko-crusted chicken stuffed curry balls. For beef, try crispy honey chili beef or the five-spice braised beef stew. Seafood options include caramelized braised catfish hot pot or the ginger scallion lobster, tiger prawn, and black mussels in a sake tamari butter sauce. For the vegetarian, order the sweet potato noodles with mushrooms, shishito pepper, scallion, garlic, and onion.
