Parker Palm Springs joins Leading Hotels of the World

PALM SPRINGS, CA  - December 18, 2017 – Beginning on January 4th, 2018 both Le Parker Meridien New York and the Parker Palm Springs will leave Marriott to join The Leading Hotels of the World, a curated collection of independent and distinct luxury hotels. In addition to joining this prestigious collection.

“After many years of being part of Air France’s Le Meridien which was subsequently acquired by Starwood and then Marriott it was time to return to our roots. We are a family-owned company and being a part of Marriott no longer aligned with our core values. By joining The Leading Hotels of the World we can maintain our individuality and work with an international network of like- minded hoteliers,“ says Steven Pipes, President of the Jack Parker Corporation.

“We are thrilled to welcome the Parker New York and the Parker Palm Springs to our collection of uncommon, independent luxury hotels,” said Deniz Omurgonulsen, Vice President Membership, The Leading Hotels of the World.

This will be the second Leading Hotels of the World in Palm Springs with L’Horizon added in 2015.  “We are excited Palm Springs continues to be seen as a leading world destination with world class resorts,” added Mary Jo Ginther, Director of Palm Springs Tourism.  “This, along with our new downtown playground that offers a relaxing walkable urban experience, timeless modern design, and outdoor sunny spaces, all combine into yet another reason why Palm Springs is like no place else, and provides additional reasons to visit”.
