The BUZZ makes it convenient for residents and visitors to get around some of the City’s most popular districts. Palm Springs’ free trolley service operates Thursday – Saturday from 12pm – 10pm with shuttles arriving at each stop approximately every 20 minutes. The BUZZ travels in a loop from Smoketree Lane and East Palm Canyon Drive (near the Saguaro Hotel) to Via Escuela (near the Riviera Hotel)

Approximately 100 miles
Head east on I10 about 90 miles.  
Slight right exit to Highway  CA-111 
After about 10 miles you’ll merge onto North Palm Canyon.
Continue onto North Palm Canyon and you will be in downtown Palm Springs

Drive from Ontario
Follow directions out of the Ontario airport to Interstate 10 East.
Merge onto I-10 East
Go 57 miles and merge right to exit CA-111, signs to Palm Springs
Go 10 miles and you’ll enter downtown Palm Springs

From San Diego
Approximately 135 miles
Head North on CA-163
Merge onto I-15 N
After 50 miles, stay right and continue on I-215 N
Take the exit onto CA-60 E/Moreno Valley Freeway toward Beaumont
Merge onto I-10 E
Go 18 miles and make a slight right exit to Highway  CA-111 
After about 10 miles you’ll merge onto North Palm Canyon.
Continue onto North Palm Canyon and you will be in downtown Palm Springs

From Las Vegas
Approximately 270 miles
Head South on I-15 toward Las Angeles
Go approximately 205 miles, keep left and continue on I-215 South
Go 13.7 miles and take exit I10 East toward Redlands
Go 40 miles and make a slight right exit to Highway  CA-111 
After about 10 miles you’ll merge onto North Palm Canyon.
Continue onto North Palm Canyon and you will be in downtown Palm Springs

Travel West on I-10 toward Los Angeles approximately 265 miles 
Take Date Palm Drive exit and turn right on Vista Chino 
Go 4.5 miles to North Palm Canyon and turn left. 
Continue onto North Palm Canyon and you will be in downtown Palm Springs

Amtrack California provides a number of connecting services throughout California.

The San Joaquin Amtrak route provides travels throughout California's Central Valley. The Valley is California's premier agricultural region, bordered on the west by the coastal mountain ranges, and on the east by California's magnificent Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequoia, and Death Valley National Parks. The San Joaquin runs multiple times daily between the San Francisco Bay Area (or Sacramento) and Bakersfield.

Take the San Joaquin to Bakersfield. At Bakersfield, transfer to Amtrak Route 19. Arrives at Palm Springs International Airport.

From other areas of California, take the Pacific Surfliner to Fullerton.

From Los Angeles (LAX) to Palm Springs (PSP)
At LAX, Catch the FlyAway® express to the Los Angeles Union Station.  Board buses on the Lower/Arrivals Level in front of each terminal under the green "FlyAway®, Buses and Long Distance Vans" signs.  Buses run frequently and the ride takes approximately 1 hour.

Amtrak is located at Los Angeles Union Station. 

Purchase a train ticket to Fullerton and a bus ticket from Fullerton to Palm Springs.  You’ll be dropped off outside baggage claim at the Palm Springs International Airport, where you can transfer to a taxi.

From the Los Angeles Union Station catch the FlyAway express coach to LAX.  Express buses are fast and run frequently, and the entire journey (including walking) takes approximately 1 hour.  Head to FlyAway® top at Bay 9 of the Transit Plaza located east of Union Station by following the wide underpass below the train platforms. Take the escalator up.  It’s less than a 5 minute walk.

METROLINK is the public transportation option that connects to many Southern California cities including Fullerton, Riverside, and San Bernardino. Amtrak shares the LA Union Station, the Fullerton Station, and the Riverside Station.
