Grand Central Palm Springs

Grand Central Palm Springs is located in the heart of the vibrant downtown area. The original clock located in the center of Palm Springs restaurant Grand Central reminds us to take time out to eat, sip, talk and enjoy.

The historic building, formerly known Desmond’s department store, was built in 1936 and left vacant for 12 years.  Renovation and restoration was both challenging and exciting.

The majority of the original design elements have been lovingly protected and maintained. Architecturally, Grand Central combines pre-Modernism with 21st century styling. The blue accent color, found throughout the building was the height of couture fashion in 1936.

The brick walls and original stamped concrete floors are an invitation to travel back in time to 1936 Palm Springs. Choose a dining location, outside in the patio, the large dining room or the full bar/lounge area.

There is a separate event space called the “gallery” available for public or private events.
