Amtrak® provides a number of connecting services throughout California.
The Amtrak San Joaquin® route offers travel throughout the California Central Valley. The Valley is California's premier agricultural region, bordered on the west by coastal mountain ranges and on the east by magnificent Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequoia and Death Valley National Parks. The San Joaquin operates multiple times daily between the San Francisco Bay Area (or Sacramento) and Bakersfield.
Upon arrival on at Bakersfield station, connect to the Amtrak Thruway Bus and arrive Palm Springs in Downtown or the International Airport.
From Los Angeles International Airport to Palm Springs
At LAX, ride the FlyawayÒ express bus to Los Angeles Union Station. Board the Flyaway bus on the Arrivals Level in front of each terminal under the green "FlyAway®, Buses and Long
Distance Vans" signs. Buses run frequently and the ride is approximately 1 hour.
Also serving Palm Springs is the Amtrak Sunset Limited® train departing three days a week.
The rail stop is located at North Indian Canyon Drive and Palm Springs Station Road.At Los Angeles Union Station, ride the Pacific Surfliner® to Fullerton station and connect to the Amtrak Thruway bus to Palm Springs in Downtown or the International Airport

METROLINK is the Public transportation option that connects to many Southern California cities including Fullerton, Riverside, and San Bernardino. Amtrak shares the LA Union Station, the Fullerton Station, and the Riverside Station.
