The Alexander Estate originally dubbed "the house of tomorrow" was built by prolific Palm Springs developer Robert Alexander for his family.  In September 1966 the estate was leased for one year to Elvis Presley as a retreat from his activities in Los Angeles.  On May 1, 1967 Elvis and Priscilla Presley began their honeymoon at this outstanding mid-century estate and Lisa Marie was born exactly nine months later.  This modernist iconic estate consists of three stories in four concentric circles and there is not a square room in the home.  The house was dubbed "...the number one place to have your photo taken" by The Desert Sun.  The 5,500 square foot estate was profiled on the Travel Channel and also highlighted by Fodor's Travel Guide, Time Magazine and Architectural Digest.  Daily guided tours 1 PM & 3:30 PM are available call for reservations.  For more information on the estate, tours or special events  visit www.ElvisHoneymoon.com or call (760) 322-1192.
