Film Festivals
The year kicks off with the Palm Springs International Film Festival the beginning of January, launching the awards season. March is the American Documentary Film Festival and Native FilmFest. May brings the Palm Springs Film Noir Festival featuring noir classics as well as a lecture series. June is the Palm Springs International Short Film Festival featuring over 300 short films. Then rounding out the year in September is Cinema Diverse LGBTQ Film Festival.
Modernism
In February we celebrate our mid-century modern architecture and design during Modernism Week. It includes exclusive parties, seminars, tours, and so much more. But don’t worry, if you can’t make this event, attend Modernism Preview in October.
Classic Cars
Hundreds of classic, sports, antique and special interest autos are auctioned at the popular McCormick’s Classic Car Show & Auction. Catch the show each February and November. McCormick’s is a family run business that has been producing high quality classic and exotic cars in Palm Springs for over 25 years.
Celebrating Diversity
Palm Springs is home to two of the largest LGBTQ events. April is the White Party Global, the world’s largest gay dance festival. Then the fall brings Club Skirts Dinah Shore Weekend with The Dinah, the largest queer/lesbian/non-binary event in the world. Greater Palm Springs Pride is in November.
Summer Fun
When the temperatures rise, so does the summertime poolside parties. Splash House is a summer festival series for you and your friends. Taking place across three resorts, it’s your ticket to a house and disco escape with great people and great fun. Each resort is a full takeover hosting a poolside stage. Join the fun each June and August.
The Holidays
Kick off the season and kick up your heels, because mirth is on the move! The Palm Springs Festival of Lights Parade marches its way along Palm Canyon Drive in early December. Elaborate floats mingle with community displays, harmonizing in a caravan of togetherness.
Year Round
Palm Springs VillageFest. Every Thursday evening enjoy our outdoor street fair with an array of artists, vendors and food.
