Standing on Ceremony - The Gay Marriage Plays

Description
Two little words … "I do" … and suddenly your whole world changes. Don't miss this afternoon and evening of new short plays conceived by Brian Shnipper and written by an A-list lineup of writers with 2 Pulitzer Prizes, 4 Obies, 1 Emmy® and 3 Tony® nominations, including Mo Gaffney, Jordan Harrison, Moises Kaufman, Neil LaBute, Wendy MacLeod, Jose Rivera, Paul Rudnick and Doug Wright. Be there as they offer their unique take on the moments before, during and after "I do." Witty, warm and occasionally wacky, these plays are vows to the blessings of equality, the universal challenges of relationships and the often-hilarious power of love.
Standing on Ceremony, The Gay Marriage Plays comes to the Annenberg Theatre at the Palm Springs Art Museum for two performances only on Saturday, November 10, 2012. The cast features well-known local celebrities including Comedienne Shann Carr, Singer/Actress Mona Caywood, Cabaret star Jerome Elliott, Singer/Actor Charles Herrera, Author/Actor Robert Julian and Actress/Director Jeanette Knight. The plays are under the direction of local producer, Keith Coleman and presented in association with Equality California.
