Lavish spa treatments and a Palm Springs Weekend? The Mom in your life will be over the moon with this Mother’s Day gift. Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 11, and Palm Springs’ spas are pulling out all the stops. Remember, the resort spas are open to everyone just like the day spas.

Here’s the run-down:

The Elements Spa at the Hilton Palm Springs features two fabulous packages, each with three different treatments and a glass of champagne. Both are good May 1 – 31. The “Splendid Package” includes a 30-minute Radiance Body Glow, a 60-minute Elements Medley Massage or Signature Elements Facial, a 30-minute Therapeutic Back Mask and a glass of bubbly – for $199 (regular $245). The “Sensational Package” features a 60-minute Organic Desert Wrap, a 60-minute Elements Medley massage or facial, a Spa Pedicure and champagne – for $235 (regular $294). Be sure to mention the package by name when booking.

The SpaTerre, a Noble House spa at the Riviera Palm Springs invites Mothers to relive the decadent bathing rites of Cleopatra with the 110-minute “Cleopatra’s Milk Global Ritual,” available May 1 – 31. The pampering begins with a relaxing, invigorating Body Exfoliation, followed by the Serenity Bath, with revitalizing milk extracts added to the water to make the skin soft and supple, and finishes with a full body Nurturing Relaxation Massage – for $175 (regular $250).

The Parker Hotel’s Palm Springs Yacht Club (PSYC) spa wants you to do Mother’s Day lunch the right way – by throwing in a spa treatment. Valid on Mother’s Day Weekend, May 10 and 11, the “Mother’s Day Special” includes a 60-minute massage or 60-minute facial and a lovely breakfast or lunch on the PSYC patio for $150.  Call for details.

Everything’s coming up roses at the Saguaro Spa at the Saguaro Palm Springs. The special “ilike Mother’s Day Chocolate Covered Rose Facial” -- using ilike organic skin care products from Hungary – is the perfect way to hydrate, revitalize and brighten her complexion. Cocoa protects the skin from environmental damage and roses are high in vitamins and malic acid, a good solution for softening fine lines and overall firming. It’s $85. Available May 1 – 31.

Salon 119 & Spa, a stylish day spa, is celebrating Mother’s Day with 10 percent off any service at the Spa for all Moms, Grandmothers, Sisters and Aunts, valid May 1 - 31. Services range from hair and nail care to full service spa treatments such as the 90-minute “Spa 119 Scrub & Rub,” featuring a full-body scrub, followed by a 60-minute Spa 119 Signature Massage. The scrub & rub is regularly $150. To get the 10 percent discount, you must mention the Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism when booking. The 10% discount is not available for services at the salon or nail spa.
