Only $50 to bliss out in Palm Springs desert luxury with a signature spa treatment! Just thinking about it soothes my senses. This amazing value is available October 15 through 21 at four of Palm Springs hippest resorts and salons: the Saguaro Spa at The Saguaro Palm Springs Hotel, Salon 119 and Spa, The Spa at the Spa Resort Casino and the Feel Good Spa at the ACE Hotel.
It’s all part of SpaWeek – a national wellness event promoting a healthy lifestyle and the benefits of spa visits – as if we need an excuse! And as a national featured SpaWeek destination, you can win a free trip to Palm Springs.
Do the math – at $50 each, you can indulge in four treatments for the cost of a single session elsewhere. Better hurry. Appointments are filling up, say the spa managers.
“Hydrating the skin is so important in the autumn – that’s why we’re offering our ‘Marilyn Monroe’ hydrating facial, with exclusive Ilike ultra-intense organic products for $50,” Theron Puccinelli, Saguaro Spa manager, told me. As the new kid on the block (the Saguaro Hotel only opened in February), Theron looks at SpaWeek as a great opportunity to introduce the spa to locals and visitors staying at other resorts. In addition to Marilyn, he’s offering the $50 “Palm Springs Bliss” massage and the $50 “The PS Rejuvenator” scalp massage (with Moroccan oils) and foot scrub. “You can try all three treatments, as long as we have appointments available,” he added.
At the Spa at the Spa Resort Casino – the $50 specials are a scent-sational “Lavender Hydrating Indulgence Facial” and a 50-minute “Heavenly Feet Treatment with Neck and Shoulder Massage.” Plus, for a $ 20 add-on (normally $25), treat yourself to the spa’s legendary “Taking of the Waters” in The Spa’s natural mineral pools for which Palm Springs was named.
Salon 119 and Spa – a sumptuous local favorite two-story day-oasis for hair, nail and skin beauty -- is thrilled to be part of SpaWeek, Lori McGlynn, the effervescent manager, told me. It’s in the heart of downtown, easily walkable from all the boutique inns. “Keeping your hair moisturized is as important as your skin,” she emphasized. So, she’s included a $50 “Deep Conditioning (hair) Treatment, with Blowout and Style,” along with the $50 “Epicurean Express Facial” and $50 “Stress Relieving Massage.” “Have the treatments in the afternoon and you’re good to go for a night on the town,” she enthused.
The Feel Good Spa at the ACE Hotel lives up to its name for SpaWeek, with three pure pleasures. The $50 “Good Body Scrub” uses a scrub made from hand-grown natural sugar – sweet! – the $50 “Basic Goodness” traditional oil Swedish massage, and the $50 “Good Face” hydrating facial.
