A day in the sun

It’s no surprise it’s hot in the summer, but that doesn’t mean you still can’t enjoy all Palm Springs has to offer. Here is the perfect itinerary for some fun in the sun and hot to enjoy the summer warmth!

Dining outside
Start your day with breakfast at one of Palm Springs restaurants in their wonderful covered outdoor patio seating. FARM has become a local and visitor favorite. Hidden in La Plaza, the French and Spanish- inspired café serves mouthwatering savory and sweet crepes, traditional provincial-style sandwiches and a prix fixe dinner on the weekends. 

Family Fun

Wet ‘n Wild, a 1950’s Southern California coast themed waterpark, is fun for the whole family. Guests can spend the entire day exploring water slides, a gigantic wave pool and a 4-story tall interactive water playhouse. Cabanas are available for rent for those who just want to relax.

Hitting the local museums in Palm Springs is a great way to catch some AC  for a few hours. The Palm Springs Art Museum collections, exhibitions and programs help connect people to the art and culture of the desert. Visit on Thursday from 4pm- 9pm during VillageFest and the Museum is free.

Outdoor adventures

For those that want to explore Downtown Palm Springs, Sunny Cycle is just for you. Sunny Cycle Palm Springs is a luxury electric limousine cycle that fits 16 people. The bike cruises Palm Canyon Drive making several stops for libations and appetizers at various Palm Springs hot spots. Plus the electric motor relieves from having to constantly pedal.

Climb onboard the rotating tram car and travel up the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway for some breathtaking views of the valley floor below in cooler temperatures. Once you reach the mountain station, two restaurants, several observation decks, a natural history museum, two documentary theaters, a gift shops and over 50 miles of hiking trails.

Laid-back kind of day

If you are looking for a more relaxing day by the pool, visiting one of the pools at the local hotels is right up your alley. Hotels such as Hard Rock Palm Springs, Saguaro Palm Springs, and Ace Hotel & Swim Club,  offer day passes, or you can visit ARRIVE Hotel, which is open to visitors for free.

Great Shakes is a great way end your day of fun in the sun by enjoy world’s best shakes, malts, and floats. All shakes and malts are made with homemade, all natural ingredients and garnished with a homemade baked mini-doughnut on each straw.

    My fiance passed away 3 years ago this June,and we used to go to palm springs and palm desert. Really miss it there. Hopefully one day
