"Rock Out to Knock Out Hunger” Concert in Palm Springs

A “Rock Out to Knock Out Hunger” concert and dance party is scheduled in Palm Springs on Friday, September 26 as part of  National Hunger Action Month benefiting FIND Food Bank of the Coachella Valley.

The “Rock Out to Knock Out Hunger,” event will be held at Hacienda Cantina and Beach Club on September 26 from 6 p.m. to midnight featuring Santa Monica-based rock cover band “Famous for Nothing” and a DJ booked by concert promoter Goldenvoice. A $10.00 donation will be accepted at the door and all proceeds will benefit FIND Food Bank of the Coachella Valley.

Three hotels are offering special rates for “Rock Out” party-goers coming into town to knock out hunger.

  • The Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs, $99 special rate, group code is FIND
  • The Hilton Palm Springs, $99 special rate, group code is ROK
  • The Curve Palm Springs Hotel, $95 special rate, group code is RCKOUT

September is National Hunger Action Month, and canned food is being collected through the end of the month at Palm Springs City Hall, 3200 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way, and at the Palm Springs Public Library, 300 S. Sunrise Way. For information, go to www.palmspringsca.gov or www.findfoodbank.org.
