New Year's Eve Celebrations in Palm Springs

As 2012 comes to an end, Palm Springs is ready to party. If you're coming to the desert to ring in the new year, there won't be any shortage of celebrations for you to choose from. Whether you want to swing dance your way into 2013, nosh on gourmet plates or party with go-go dancers, the desert has the perfect celebration for you.

Here are the top New Year's Eve celebrations in Palm Springs:

Dinner and Entertainment at Escena Lounge & Grill
Celebrate the last meal of the year in style at Escena Lounge & Grill
The three course prix fixe menu includes veal chops, cocoa-dusted beef tenderloin and crab-encrusted sea bass. Grab a few party favors and enjoy champagne specials and entertainment by Reggie "Vision" Alexander, beginning at 8 p.m.

Party at the Spa Resort Casino's Cascade Lounge
Ring in the new year with DJ Bradley Ryan of MIX 100.5 in the Cascade Lounge. Party the night away with go-go dancers and enjoy the midnight champagne toast and balloon drop. The New Year's Eve bash will also feature free party favors, a Skyy vodka ice luge and drink specials throughout the night.

Stay and Play at the Riviera Palm Springs
Celebrate in style at the Riviera which will offer two dinner seatings at Circa 59 on New Year's Eve. Afterwards, dance until midnight at the hotel's two lounges, both hosting live music and deejays all night long. The Starlight Lounge will start screening celebrations from around the world on its video wall at 4 p.m.
When: 4 p.m. - 2 a.m.

Dine at Workshop Kitchen + Bar
End 2012 on a culinary high note at Workshop Kitchen + Bar, whose New Year's Eve menu features octopus carpaccio, lobster schnitzel and roasted duck. The second seating includes a champagne toast for when the clock strikes midnight.

Swing Dancing at a New Year's Eve Gala
Swing into the new yearand dance until dawn with some of the best swing dancers in the world at the Palm Springs Convention Center. This masquerade ball is part of the Palm Springs Swing Dance Classic, a five-day event filled with workshops, boot camps and competitions. An optional New Year's dinner is available and costumes are encouraged.
When: 7 p.m. - 6 a.m.

Dinner and Dancing at Lulu California Bistro
In the spirit of celebration, Lulu will offer two dinner seatings and live music by Dina Bennett and her swing band. Guests will party in style with complimentary party favors, party hats and a glass of champagne for guests arriving for the second seating.

Dine at Azul
Start your night off with a prime rib dinner and entertainment by Rickie Lee and Siobhan. Enjoy the laughs and champagne until midnight, when a balloon drop signals the start of the new year.

Street Food, Bingo, Trivia and DJs at the Ace Hotel & Swim Club
Three New Year's Eve events at the Ace Hotel & Swim Club will keep you partying all night long. The night starts at King's Highway with a prix fixe menu, trivia hosted by Bella da Ball and Sissy Bingo with Linda Gerard. Later, the Commune transforms into a Desert Street Food Bazaar as DJ Alf Alpha hosts the monthly World Famous dance party. Meanwhile, DJ Michael Antonia AKA The Human Jukebox will keep the party going in the Amigo Room.

Rock Out with Corset Crush
Bid farewell to 2012 with a performance by Corset Crush at the Hyatt Regency Suites. This party band brings corsets, choreography and the fun of a girl band to the stage, performing pop hits by artists like Katy Perry, Madonna and Michael Jackson. The dinner spread includes a seafood station, pasta station and carving stations for prime rib and turkey.
