Escaping to the desert for the holidays? We don't blame you! Christmas in Palm Springs means sunshine, warm weather and opening presents by a sparkling pool.
If it doesn't feel like Christmas without snow, not to worry: A quick trip up the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway will land you in the midst of a snowcapped winter wonderland. Check out some of the special holiday deals for attractions, dining, shopping and more..

And if you're in Palm Springs for the holidays, there's no need to worry about preparing a Christmas ham or any of the fixings. We rounded up nine Palm Springs restaurants that are offering special Christmas Eve and Christmas Day menus. If you're spending Christmas in the desert, be sure to make a reservation at one of these Palm Springs restaurants:

Azul  is offering dinner and a show on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. On Christmas Eve, Azul is offering a special salmon dinner and entertainment by Rebecca Clark. On Christmas Day, enjoy a traditional ham dinner and entertainment by beloved Palm Springs entertainer Bella da Ball.
Cost: Christmas Eve dinner: $23.95; Christmas Day dinner: $22.95, $12.95 for kids under 12
When: Rebecca Clark Xmas Show at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve; Christmas Day seatings from 10 a.m.; Bella da Ball's Christmas Show begins at 7:30 p.m.

Citron at Viceroy Palm Springs Hotel
Citron's Christmas menu features your choice of dijon glazed sea bass, fig and orange glazed ham or roasted lamb. A wine pairing menu, featuring reds, whites and champagne, is also available.

On Christmas Eve, Copley's on Palm Canyon will offer a prix fixe menu featuring entrees like rack of lamb, crusted sea bass, beef ribs and lobster. Wine by the glass and specialty cocktails will also be available.

Le Vallauris
Enjoy a three-course prix fixe menu on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day on the tree-canopied patio of Le Vallauris. The extensive Christmas menu includes classic entrees like turkey with stuffing, as well as lamb loin and duck.

On Christmas Day, Lulu will offer a prix fixe menu with holiday classics like oven roasted turkey, honey baked ham and bread pudding. A number of gluten-free items are included for those with food sensitivities.

At Melvyn's Restaurant at the Ingleside Inn, start your Christmas dinner with a warm bowl of pumpkin bisque. Next, choose an entree like turkey, mahi mahi or a prime New York steak. Top off your Christmas dinner with your choice of pumpkin pie, cheesecake or tiramisu.

Spencer's is offering two distinct holiday menus for guests on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Menu items include appetizers like lobster bisque and smoked salmon, entrees including rack of lamb and roasted turkey, and decadent holiday desserts like chocolate yule log, eggnog spiced cheesecake and bourbon pecan pie.

When: Christmas Eve seatings from 5-8 p.m.; Christmas Day seatings from 12-8 p.m.

Workshop Kitchen  Bar
Offering a Christmas Eve menu with a modern twist, Workshop's holiday fare includes plates like scallop carpaccio, poached arctic char and roasted goose with roasted apples and onions. After dinner, enjoy a mulling spice creme brûlée with fresh persimmon compote.
Cost: $66, add $44 for wine pairings
