Halloween Events in Palm Springs

Zombies, ghouls, headless horseman and the Mad Hatter headline this year’s Halloween celebration in Palm Springs. Pick your poison (if you dare) and join the festivities this season. Below is a list of upcoming celebrations that you should not miss!

Haunted Carriage Tours by Big Horse Carriage Company

Dates: October 5-7, 12-14, 26-28 and Halloween night (not available October 19-21)

Times: 8:00 p.m.; 9:00 p.m.; 10:00 p.m.; 11:00 p.m.; 8:00- Midnight on Halloween (Reservation req’d)

Cost: $15.00 for adults; $7.00 for children (7-14 years old); Free under 7 years old

Location:  Staging area on Palm Canyon Drive

Description: Adults and children of all ages with enjoy the legends, lore, and the history of old Palm Springs. Take a carriage tour down the spooky streets of Palm Springs with a headless horse man that hitches a ride on the back of the carriage and the Mad Hatter as your guide. Partylab’s “What Are You Gonna Be” Halloween Party

Date: October 13, 2012

Description: Get your Ghoul on and Monster “Mash-up” at this year’s Halloween celebration with Partylab. Imaginations will run wild with crazy costume combinations such as The Munsters meet Elton John and True Blood meets Marilyn Monroe. Costume consultants will be on hand to help with outrageous, gory and simply stylish ideas. Top costumes, Zombie-tinis and ghoulishly fun times await, come join the celebration.

 


2nd Annual Palm Springs Zombie Walk and Villagefest

Date: October 25, 2012

Time: The zombie walk begins at 7:00p.m. with a 21 & over after party beginning at 9:00p.m.

Cost: $5 per person (adults and children), $3 per person with a non-perishable food item or personal hygiene product to benefit The Morris and Lila Linsky Annex Food Depot at Desert Aids Project.

Location: Zombie Walk begins at the corner of Baristo Rd & S. Palm Canyon

Description: Zombie Walk Palm Springs is an annual event where an organized public gathering of people dress up in zombie costumes. The participants will make their way through the Palm Springs Villagefest as a type of street theatre. Lumber and lurch through Palm Springs with a true zombie feel to the festivities.

The Living Desert’s Howl-O-Ween
Date: October 26-28, 2012
Time: 6:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.

Description: This year’s theme is Wild Wild West, so come dressed in your best western gear, or your favorite Halloween costume. Ride the Living Desert’s Doom Buggy for a fright ride at the zoo’s three-day Howl-O-Ween spectacular. Lil’ cowboys and cowgirls will stroll through the Wild West town of Berger’s Bluff to trick-or-treat along the old-fashioned General Store, Bank, Saloon and Livery Stable. The Howl-O-Ween event will also feature a rodeo-style trick roper. Kids’ jumpers and slides (age appropriate jump houses), music by Dunebilly, a haunted maze and a hoedown complete with Tom’s Chuckwagon grub.

Description: The Palm Springs Art Museum will hold its annual Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos). Come join the festivities as the spirit and tradition of Day of the Dead comes alive with a celebration featuring art, music, food, dancing, theater and other activities.

 


BB’s 28th Annual Halloween Bash

Date: October 27, 2012

Time: 9:00 p.m.-4:00 a.m.

Cost: $20.00 (A portion of proceeds benefiting the Pet Rescue Center)

Zelda’s Zombie Halloween Ball

LGBT Event: Arenas Road Halloween Party

Date: October 31, 2012

Time: 6:30p.m.-Entertainment, 8:00p.m.-Costume Contest

Location: Arenas Road, Palm Springs, CA

Description: Every Halloween, Arenas Road is converted into an LGBT costume party with great bar-hopping and live entertainment. This year, there will be big cash prizes for best costumes, a drag pageant, and more.
