Pajama Party!!

Palm Springs Weekend Meets Breakfast at Tiffany’s – A Perfect Match

OMG! Why didn’t we think of this before? As the cocktail capital of the world – Palm Springs is the perfect spot for a pajama party.

Cute, crazy and oh so mid-century chic. How cool is it to party in your jammies by a pool in Palm Springs. A totally perfect fit for Palm Springs Hollywood golden era vibe. Think 1963’s “Palm Springs Weekend,” starring Connie Stevens and Troy Donahue; Doris Day in the 1957 movie musical “The Pajama Game,” and morning haute couture in the 1961 classic “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”

So pack a pair of fun and fashionable PJs and plan a pajama party for your next Palm Springs getaway.

Think up a theme! Eye masks and nightshirts a la Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Doris Day’s heart-themed PJ top. Ask everyone to wear the same print – like the sleep walkers at The Parker Palm Springs did during the intro party brunch for the resort’s new Weekends at The Parker line of signature pajamas by Sydney and Los Angeles-based pajama designers Sant and Abel.

Pajama Party that's perfect for your Instagram selfie

Add to the fun with a pre-PJ party shopping spree to Palm Springs fabulous shops – both new and vintage – where everyone can purchase the same print, or mix and match their jammies, slippers, sleep T-shirts, sunglasses, sleep masks and maybe a teddy bear or two.

Then party, party, party. Enjoy a luscious, late morning brunch with mimosas, champagne, bloody marys and tasty breakfast fare under the sparkling Palm Springs sun. Time doesn’t count, as you laze the day away – after all you are in your sleepwear. Or maybe throw a girls and guys night in with martinis – shaken, not stirred, of course. Pillow fight anyone?

Pose for pictures. This is a total Instagram winner!  Ham it up together. Solo. Toasting. Dancing in your jammies. This is so Palm Springs!
