Artist and gallery owner Haya Gil-Lubin
is at the center of Palm Springs' Uptown Design District for good reason. Her popular photograms are uniquely designed with organic elements from flowers to vegetables, resulting in each piece simulating a sense of living artistic expression. An exciting gallery to enter, Haya’s art is also displayed as custom fabric design from photograms onto pillows, upholstered ottomans, and her exotic plexiglass mobiles engage the visitor’s new field of vision.
The photograms have distinctive and brilliant colors of natural imagery that at the same time appear both: familiar and illusive. She describes her work thusly as “surrealistic”. The art not only touches the senses as a living organism that has evolved into a creative symbol, but also functions as a picture of beauty standing on its own accord. By combining ingenuity of technique with skill and creative imagination, Haya has transformed this mode of art into an ultramodern category of organic art energy.
“My work is one of a kind and all of my aluminum prints may be displayed either vertically or horizontally, and indoor or outdoor. You will not find my pillows, mobiles, or coasters and prints anywhere else, except at my gallery,” says Haya Gil-Lubin.
In addition, Haya Modern Art Gallery has the only Palm Springs gift collection of the renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright. It is no wonder she has chosen his collection to accompany her own, as he was a forerunner in the harmony of environmental design. The Frank Lloyd Wright gift collection includes sculpture, clocks, calendars, ornaments, doormats, pillows, gift cards, night-light books and more, is a triumphant assortment particularly for the upcoming Modernism Week.
Haya's gallery was once located at the popular Backstreet Art District, but now the gallery is housed in the Don the Beachcomber building where visitors can enjoy the day shopping, sipping coffee at Ernest Coffee and strolling the highly-anticipated Grace Home Furnishings showroom opening soon. There is ample parking and monthly events will start soon.
