Head off the beaten path for Restaurant Week

Dining out steps from your door can be convenient, but sometimes it's nice to get away from the traffic and the crowds. There are a few places in Palm Springs where you can get that feeling of being truly away from it all.

For starters, get up up and away by climbing to the top of Mount San Jacinto on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. At the top you'll find the incomparable Peaks Restaurant. Enjoy delicious food while admiring views that span the entire Coachella Valley. https://www.pstramway.com/dining/

Perhaps you want to be up and off that beaten path, but not too far away?  Stroll into Moxie Palm Springs and head up to the second floor where you can look over busy Palm Canyon Drive without the constant stream of traffic and pedestrians at your elbow. You’ll have a nice view and be near all the action without all the hubbub. www.moxiepalmsprings.com/

If you’re looking for a dining choice that is a little out of the ordinary, but you want to stay close, Palm Greens is a little ways off Palm Canyon Drive and features healthy clean organic cuisine. Enjoy smoothies and fresh juices or deliciously healthy breakfasts. www.palmgreenscafe.com/

Perhaps you want to feel as though you’ve left the city behind for your ‘off the beaten path’ dining experience.  Head to Mister Parker’s at the Parker Hotel.  Ensconced behind tall hedges and tucked deep inside the hotel is this dark and moody room. You'll feel as though you stepped back in time to the 1950s, and it’s so private in here, you might even spot a celebrity or two off in the corner.
