Are you an avid scuba diver on vacation here in Palm Springs? Perhaps you are just itching to get PADI certified in scuba and are here in our Desert Oasis for an extended time period. Either way, weekender or here for a few months, you can actually scuba dive right here in Palm Springs! All you have to do is check out Get Wet Scuba Divers and you'll be in and under the water in no time.

Get Wet Scuba Divers is very unique as it is the ONLY Scuba Dive Shop in the Palm Springs area, conveniently located at 635 Oleander Rd.,Palm Springs, CA 92264. Store hours are Tues - Friday 10am - 6:30pm. and the number to call is 760-322-7160. They have everything you need to become or stay certified. Classes, sales, rentals, trips are all part of the Get Wet Scuba menu. I recently had the opportunity to speak with Kathy Peper, the Owner and IDC Staff Instructor of Get Wet Scuba Divers, about her unique business and how scuba helps in attaining fitness. Here is what Kathy had to tell me.

"Scuba is a great way to stay fit and to encourage you to become fit! Of course, being in the water and paddling, using your entire body, is part of the exercise benefits you'll receive from participating in scuba diving. Further, scuba is a great motivator to become more physically active and fit. Once in the water a few times, most people begin to see where they could improve on their fitness quotient. Scuba is an accurate test of your stamina, agility and strength. I see clients everyday who have not only enrolled in my scuba classes, but who are then also motivated and joining health and fitness clubs to stay in shape."

I encourage you to visit the Get Wet web site and get to know the Team of wonderful people Kathy has assembled to help you stay fit, get certified, experience much fun and do it all right here in Palm Springs. You'll also find a list of classes and certifications, picture galleries, news letters, equipment lists and special events information at their well organzied and easy to mauever site. Get Wet Scuba Divers is yet another exciting reason to visit Palm Springs again and again. I hope to see you in the water soon!

The team at Get Wet Scuba taught me to scuba dive. It changed my life. I have started doing international trips with the group and have experienced things that I never thought that I would. If you are looking for adventure and excellent training I would highly recommend them.

Used to be an active scuda guy. Think I am considered Master. Would like to do something with my son together. He is a good swimmer. Is there an age limit for scuba, and do you offer lessons for him? I would be interested in Nitro as well.
